MSAPP - RSS READER

I have decided to take up MSAPP project . i.e Microsoft student academic project .

iam planning to do RSS READER.

RSS is a family of XML file formats for Web syndication used by (amongst other things) news websites and weblogs.

REALLY SIMPLE SYNDICATION

The technology of RSS allows Internet users to subscribe to websites that have provided RSS feeds; these are typically sites that change or add content regularly. To use this technology, site owners create or obtain specialized software (such as a content management system) which, in the machine-readable XML format, presents new articles in a list, giving a line or two of each article and a link to the full article or post. Unlike subscriptions to many printed newspapers and magazines, most RSS subscriptions are free.
The RSS formats provide web content or summaries of web content together with links to the full versions of the content, and other meta-data. This information is delivered as an XML file called an RSS feed, webfeed, RSS stream, or RSS channel. In addition to facilitating syndication, RSS allows a website's frequent readers to track updates on the site using an aggregator.

COMMUNUTTY-NITE (My first Award from MS)

Date: sep 29

Venue: Hotel Grand Ashoka
Bangalore

Event: CommuNutty -Nite

Hmmm What a day it was????
Well there are various reasons for that......
but let me recollect the start of the event....

Oh ya the Event was conducted for an interaction between the studentchamps and JOE WILSON the man behind IMAGINE CUP contests of MS.

Sunil made a gr8 entrance by doing the "Steve Balmer- monket act", followed by Garima's M/C'ing.

We had to talk about our events and contests and works of our BDNS community,
which was called communutty that nyt.

I gave a speech on "DATE WITH DOTNET" event.
It turned out well ... the funniest part was garima introduced me to the crowd saying that i was gonna talk abt my first date..........

Oh gosh i was all blushing for a sec...
then was alryt......
Lollllllll

Hmm here comes the best part.
I was given an awrd ".NUT "award.
The goodies -> licensed SP2 and updates of XP and student kit, and INETA t-shirt, and.........
oh ya a MS time piece its so cute....
oh god... it was quite shocking....
the gr8 Joe wilson himself gave it to me...

Hmm well my friends shreenath, garima, abhinav, bhaskar were also given awards.

It was such a nice moment.

Our day ended with good chat with our alumni - champs -> sabarish and Ghanshyam...
They were pulling my leg asking abt my dates and bf's.
unfortunately we gals were caught redhanded discussing about Gf-Bf issues....

The look in Ghanshyams and Sab's face was so funny.
They have misunderstood us (gals) properly... ... well let them carry on....hahahahaha.............

We had a good dinner and took off..

This is one of the day which i cannot forget....

"WOW" is the only suitable word for this poem

Run, boy, run!
Follow the voice that rings within, that’s it.
You haven’t got anything else to do in this world.

May they call you blind, May they call you mad,
May they throw you out of their little world,
Just listen to what it says, go on...

The Master is only One, and He is within you.
If you want Him to be there… He is there, above you...
Below you, Beside you, in each and every nook and corner you can look at.
No matter what...never ever...take your eye off the beacon.

Did they throw stones at you for no reason?
At you, who can’t even walk straight?
And you stand and blame destiny? No.
See clearly...just look in.
You would never have run on earth, hadn’t the stones flown at you.
You would never have run like the wind blew.

Now you look at your legs and then at the gash on your forehead,
And say to yourself, “Oh, My Jesus! I never knew You loved me this much”

Run, boy, run!

Some of them you met more often, they leave you...
They keep running on their own roads,
If you happen to meet them here or there,
Say a hi, say a word of love and mean it.
Say a bye and get back to your road.
But be there, always, for them.

Some of them slip off the stage, while you were still there.
Oh, what made a difference to you?
Your beacon is still there, since it’s within you.
They came so they have gone.
They wouldn’t have, hadn’t they come.

And some of them haven’t slipped off, they just slid down.
Oh, is it?
Just throw your hand into them.
They hold it? Just drag them up.
They didn’t see it? Shake it once or twice.
They saw, and yet they didn’t see?
Just draw your hand back and resume your run.

Run, boy, run!

And most of all, you might loose a part or two of what you called your body.
The question you ask yourself remains the same, ”So what?”
You are still what you are.

Don’t say this wasn’t your destiny.
For you wouldn’t call it destiny had it not happened.
Have Him in heart and if you did, let me tell you.
On the day you leave, you would look back only to see how glorious it was.

Run, boy, run!
Go on and on...on the wings of the Master!

My First Step In To The ****JAVA World****

"Java" has been one of the most-talked about languages from few years,

I cant blog about JAVA in my tech blog, cos it has a MS background .....LOL.......

Well first of all i wanted to know stuffs about JAVA , and here goes my first quest about JAVA.......

Java coffee is a coffee produced on the island of Java. (Hmm but iam not gonna talk about this.... )

Java is an object-oriented programming language developed primarily by James Gosling and colleagues at Sun Microsystems.

The language, initially called Oak (named after the oak trees outside Gosling's office), was intended to replace C++, although the feature set better resembles that of Objective C. Java should not be confused with JavaScript, which shares only the name and a similar C-like syntax. Sun Microsystems currently maintains and updates Java regularly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_(programming_language)

(Hmm Sun Microsystems is one of the big fishes which iam targetting on...)

A computer language that can be read by many different computer platforms without the need for programmers to laboriously port the program to each platform. Java programs are automatically downloaded and executed on the client side by the web browser.

Small Java applications are called Java applets and can be downloaded from a Web server and run on your computer by a Java-compatible Web browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Common Java applets used on Web pages include animation, calculators, and counters. JavaScript A scripting language developed by Netscape that interacts with HTML source code, allowing for interactive Web sites. JavaScript is used for things such as "rollover buttons" (graphics that change color when you run your mouse over them), rotating banners, MIDI jukeboxes, pop-up windows, etc. JPEG (or JPG) Joint Photographic Experts Group: a type of image

A programming language that is designed to be platform-independent. This is achieved by the use of "virtual machines" that allow Java programs to run on a particular operating system. One of the common uses of Java is to create Applets that run inside a web page.

A Short Story ->Secret Of Happiness

Hmm this is a quite interesting story cos i belong to this category of "Donno how to have fun"
kind of girl. .....LOL.........

I just get lost and get highly committed to my responsibilites that i seldom forget to be happy...
Well this story just changed my idea.....
lets see how i am gonna do in future.

Once upon a time .........

A Boy went out in search of happiness , he was said by people that their was a wise man who knew everything about life and death.
So he decided to go to his place.

Rather than finding a saintly man in the mansion , he found all the riches of the world in the mansion, beautifull garden, the world’s best delicacies all ready and served, and good music and other things.

He finally found the wise man , after listening carefully to the boy’s purpose of visit.
The wise man said that he didn’t have time to give him a lecture , and then to explain the secret of happiness.
He suggested the boy to look around the place and return in 2 hours without spilling the 2 drops of oil frm the spoon which the wise man gave .

The boy went back and came after 2 hours.
When the wise man asked that did he notice the beautifull carvings in the mansion, and the garden which took ten years for the gardener to create, and the beautifull parchments in my library ?

The boy was embarrassed and confessed that he had observed nothing. His only concern had been not to spill the oil which the old man had entrusted to him.

Then go back said the old man ,”you cannot trust a man if u don’t know his house”.

Relieved the boy went back and this time he carefully observed everything in and around the house. When he returned he related in detail everytng he had seen.

“but where are the drops of oil I entrusted to you ?” asked the wise man.

“looking down at he spoon he held, he boy saw that the oil was gone.”
The wise man said:
“well there is only one piece of advice I can give u “, said the wisest of all.

“The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world, and never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon.”

The Boy was amazed to listen to the wise guy words and went home happily to share his happiness....

Not bad for a first day.
Happiest moment was to flaunt away my "Nova" mobike (which was lost and found)

Now comes the Best part
I had been to the St.josephs with my friends (RNPS) there was an event called "EQUIXON".
It was a very funfilled event with lots of songs, dances and Mad-ads.
They were simply superb.
We managed to get inside cos of my friend's bro who studies there.
We introduced ourselves as first year B.E students LOL......
Gr8 youngsters around 17 -18 yrs of age may be , they were so talented and full of energy. Was cheering them like anything.
Was just seeing them and admiring their talents.

A Cracked Pot

You've just got to take each person for what they are,and look for the good in them.

This is one beautifull story which i always wanna be remembered of.

A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hungon the ends of a pole which he carried across hisneck..
One of the pots had a crack in it, while theother pot was perfect and always delivered a fullportion of water.
At the end of the long walk from thestream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only halffull.

For a full two years this went on daily, withthe bearer delivering only one and a half pots full ofwater to his house.

Of course, the perfect pot wasproud of its accomplishments, perfect for which it wasmade.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its ownimperfection, and miserable that it was able toaccomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitterfailure, it spoke tothe water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamedof myself, and because this crack in my side causeswater to leak out all the way back to your house.

"The bearer said to the pot,"Did you notice that there were flowers only on yourside of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautifulflowers todecorate the table.

Without you being just the way youare, there would not be this beauty to grace thehouse"

Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're allcracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that makeour lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are,and look for the good in them.

My silent prayer

I believe that for every heart that whispers at dark there is a ray of hope shining through.
Iam seeking the closest thing to heaven by seeking God.

Hav u Ever trusted someone so deeply? Knowing well that u wont be trusted instead.
How easy life wud be if there were only two answers for everything in this world "yes" or "no".
Hav u ever shed ur tears to someone whom u care the most without even expecting to be embraced by that person.
Well here iam a gal in her dream world, wandering around desperartely searching for various answers .
How easy life wud be if we can know everything what we want to know ..........

I hav gotta reason to startover new ,i found out a reason to change the way i used to be and the Reason is ............

Its amazing how God can still be with me and light up my darkness. And i hear what he dont say at all. I cant beleive but its true that we say things to each other without saying a thing.

Myself

Travelling in this world as a traveller i believe there is a bright shiny path ahead of me.
I believe for the every door that is closing there is a new beginning somewhere.
I want to find the closest thing to heaven in this journey of life of mine.
With all my ambitions and dreams pulling me in one side and my untamed heart on the other side.
I believe for every heart that whispers at the dark there is a ray of light somewhere shining through.
I used to think that i had answers for everything but now i know that life doesnt always come my way, Feels like iam caught in the middle thats when i realise am not a girl not yet a woman,
all i need is time a moment that is mine while iam inbetween.
Lost in this crystal sky i keep wondering somtimes what am upto?
All things fall into place and my heart is here with me forever sharing every dark secrets of mine.
