Analyse this .....
I keep thinking sometime that ,
Why do we have to earn just 3 to 4 lakhs per annum putting our brains to work , when some people earn it in few days/months in show buisness ???
Why do we have to work so hard but then just end up living normal life when some people live luxuriously?
Why should people invent /achieve something when its just gonna be forgotten in few days and doesnt get enough lime light , whereas in the showbiz people get publicity even if they sneeze.
Why should we study so hard to get good engineering/MBBS degrees when people who have not even passed 10th grade earn so much?
Who is superior? who is considered to be smart ? who is intelligent ? who gets the fame ? who is more successfull? who gets to live a luxurious life?
Does the degree which we hold and nature of work we do bring us / give us any added advantage than the ones in the show buisness?
I just wish that the world would start giving importance and throw more light to people who really deserve the fame and publicity , I mean a life saving doctor , a scientist and his research , an engineer and his invention , an extra smart student who has accomplished something in academics, a philosopher with his work , a successfull enterpreneur,
rather than the film stars and their break ups and link ups news and all such crap.
Film stars and show buisness are just for entertaining us and entertainment is just a small part of our life , if you are gonna miss a movie/ tv show your life is not gonna end .
If not the world i just wish that Indians atleast show least importance and curiosity to show buisness news and start appreciating other fellow citizens who excel in their work and bring them to light , so that our future generation can have good icons to inspire them .
I just wish that every child is given enough freedom to choose and grow in whichever field he/she wants to and become an expert in that .
By this India would have real talented and smart individuals who are experts in their respective chosen field in future.

Life is a mystery. And the human mentality always says "nothing is ever enough" .If you achieve something, you long for the next big thing. We are always caught in the vicious cycle of materialistic Mt. Everest. As an SE, we probably earn X. An actor/actress is probably earning 100 times X . However , dont forget the mason or a carpenter who earns X/100 for probably doing more work than 10 of us put together! This is not to discredit either one of them( the mason or an SE or an actor). All of them do 'work' and each of types of work is equally challenging. At this point in time , the mason is also probably thinking -"Look at the kampooter people, they earn so much for sitting at one place and staring at a tv".
Fame,Success,Intelligence, Smartness,Happiness are socially created relative buzzwords. If one equates an individuals monetary standing to success,they are incorrect.

Hi abhi , yeah i agree that a mason works even more harder than us physically :) , so dont u think he must be appreciated or given importance in the society?
and yeah we cannot equate an individuals monetary standing to success but thats how its seen right now.

Happened to read your article.. I appreciate your point of view.. I just want to tell my point of view. I think that it is what the person wants. It is mentioned about the Entertainment. If a person doesn't get enough time for Entertainment, the life is going to be very bad. It is an important part of life. Yes !! I agree that the life is NOT going to be end if we miss a serial. At the same time, I don't agree that praising an actor a god is correct. Moreover, this is happening not only in india but everywhere in the world.
Every work should be recognized whether it is mind work or physical work. It is up to the person what he/she needs. Fame, Money, satisfaction, etc... This factor drives the person towards what he / she needs. Some would think that Fame is NOT important but it would come to them. They might like peace, calm but it might not be there with them.
Ideally, Money should NOT be considered as a factor related to the study. Whatever we study would never go in vain. If a person succeeds, he has something in him which we might NOT be aware of and we need to know of. This doesn't mean that the loser will NOT have anything for us to learn. Everyone is a teacher and we would need to learn lessons from everyone in the world.
A begger might carry a lesson for us. All we need is to keep our eyes and ears opened all the time if we eager to learn.
I don't know whether I conveyed all the points or not or whether the points I conveyed are related to the topic or not. :-O
But, I just want to tell my views. That's it. :-)
